I call these all purpose meatballs, I cook a big batch and freeze it so that I always have them in hand for busy days. you can serve them as finger food, you can add them to vegetable purees, you can add them to tomato sauces, I use the boil water as stock and cook my sons pasta and rice in it for flavor! It’s really an all purpose meal! It’s easy to pack nutrients in it with veggies of your choice. Serve it as it is with steamed broccoli or any other preferable veggie. It’s just really good to have these in the freezer always.
It’s a baby & toddler friendly meal so it’s plain on its own unless you spice it up real good.

If you have a hard time keeping up with your baby’s meat intake these are perfect to have in hand, as you can easily add one meatball per serving to your baby’s vegetable puree which is 1 tbsp of meat which is the recommendations for the daily intake of meat for a baby who just started on solids 6-7 months +.

Ingredients:
? 3 handful of ground beef (or turkey, chicken)
? 2 broccoli florets
?1 garlic
?1 small onion
?1/4 red bell pepper
? 1/2 tbsp curry spice and salt and pepper for 12m+ babies.
?herbs of your choice. I usually use parsley [8m+]

Method:
1. blend everything in a food processor until it turns into a mass that you easily can shape small balls of.

2. boil, steam or bake the balls, I boiled them this time. Cut through one of the biggest meatballs to see if it’s entirely cooked inside.

3. Remove them from the water and let them cool off before placing them in freezer bags.

4. Mark the date and freeze it so that you have them in hand whenever desired.

Don’t throw the cook water instead freeze that too and use it as homemade stock, cook pasta or rice for your little one with it instead of water because it’s full of nutrients and flavor and it’s a great replacement for salt. ?Add oatmeal if the mass is too loose to shape. And 1 egg for making a moisture meatball.
