Before I had a baby I had no idea what a butternut squash was or what to do with a pumpkin but I just learned how to cook winter squashes for babies first food and I had one big smiling baby! And it is easy. I promise.

Some squash is naturally sweeten, and has a pleasing, creamy texture that most babies enjoy. It’s bursting in flavor and color and most importantly it is loaded with nutrients!

Butternut squash specially is a favorite as it is easily digested and rarely causes allergies; therefore it makes perfect first weaning food.
