HOW TO PICK YOUR AVOCADO using this very simple trick
We eat LOTS of avocados at home and I always use this method to pick the right avocado and it really works as seen above.
Tip of the day:
A simple way to determine the ripeness of an avocado is to flick off the stem and look underneath. If the stem comes off easily, look at the color underneath.
1. If the color underneath the stem is brown, the avocado is overripe and its flesh will most likely be brown, bruised, rotten, and/or mushy.
2. If the color underneath is a bright, yellow-green color, it is ripe and ready to be eaten.
You can also press down on the stem with your index finger and if it gives gently or with little resistance then it’s ripe, if it’s mushy then it’s over ripe and maybe rotten, that way you will avoid causing the avocados to oxidize faster which also makes them rot faster.
