Plums, Apple, Mint & Tofu purée
This was absolutely delicious! So good
Ingredients:
– 3 very ripe plums
– 1 apple
– 1 tbsp of tofu OR use greek yoghurt
– 3-4 mint leaves
All organic if possible
Method:
1. Peel , cut and boil the apple first in a little water. Then add the plums whole and boil them for 1 minute then remove them again. Doing that makes it easy to peel the skin off the plums.
2. Purée all the ingredients when the apple are cooked.
This was a pretty delicious but thin purée so adding something to thicken it like oatmeal would be ideal.
One of the main reasons that it is suggested to wait until a baby is 8 months old before giving tofu is that there is a potential for soy allergy.
Therefore you should use caution when first giving tofu and in moderation. I wouldn’t give it often.
