I honestly always have some apple sauce in the fridge because it is such a versatile thing to use! this recipe fruit purée can be used as a sweetener and topping on porridges, pancakes, in smoothies or enjoyed just as it is!!
Figs is a good source of fiber and contains several essential minerals like magnesium, manganese, calcium (which promotes bone density), copper, and potassium, as well as vitamin K and B6.
My toddler asks for this every morning for his porridge. Add a sprinkle of chia or hemp for toddler and it will be a bomb of nutrients. The vitamin C in the purée will help the absorption of iron from the porridges.
Great for batch cooking and suitable for freezing.
